My goal is to personally visit and collate information from 100 New Zealand World War One memorials throughout New Zealand to commemorate the Centenary of World War One and to remember those who paid the ultimate price.

Alexandra Memorial - 12 July 2011
The Alexandra memorial has pride of place in the centre of town. It is an ornate memorial the statue of the soldier at ease is made from Italian marble from Carrara and the pedestal is made of marble from Takaka, near Nelson. The memorial was unveiled on the 11 November 1921.
