My goal is to personally visit and collate information from 100 New Zealand World War One memorials throughout New Zealand to commemorate the Centenary of World War One and to remember those who paid the ultimate price.

Methven Memorial - 7 July 2011
An impressive memorial at the front of the Methven Primary School. It was unveiled on the 11 February 1930. I would love to know who unveiled the memorial.
I was thrilled to read of your research in the local Methven newspaper. My grandfather, James Burrows, worked on the construction of the memorial. He was a plasterer. He commented later in life that working on this memorial was one of the highlights of his career after having spent his early years living in the Methven district and having strong family ties to the area.
