My goal is to personally visit and collate information from 100 New Zealand World War One memorials throughout New Zealand to commemorate the Centenary of World War One and to remember those who paid the ultimate price.

Te Aroha War Memorial - 22 April 2011
An impressive memorial especially the bronze soldier on top which was made by the Italian artist Giobanni it has great detail. There are 102 soldiers remembered on the memorial. The memorial is in the town centre.
I just read a piece in the Western Leader. Am enjoying your work on this blog and realise the importance of each story behind each name etched on the memorials you have visited. A very worthy, and interesting project. Many thanks!
